Medical informatics firm CompuMed of Los Angeles said that strong growth in its electrocardiogram business, as well as increased ECG transmissions and overread services, helped the company achieve 16% growth in revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2005 (end-March 31).
CompuMed reported second-quarter revenues of $534,000, compared with $461,000 in the same period of fiscal 2004. In addition, the company trimmed its net losses to $33,000, a 58% decrease compared with a net loss of $79,000 in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Total revenues for the first six months of the 2005 fiscal year increased 31% to $1.2 million, compared with $921,000 for the same period in fiscal 2004. The company also said its net loss for the six month period decreased 10% to $126,000, compared with a loss of $140,000 for the same period in the prior fiscal year.
