Medical informatics firm TeraMedica has launched a new software product that enables users of its Evercore enterprise data archiving package to add medical images to electronic medical records (EMRs) that can be viewed at the point of care.
WADOWeb E.H.R. Image Viewer is designed to give users a way to view data collected by Evercore, which captures information from multiple imaging and information devices regardless of the vendor, according to the company. TeraMedica believes that WADOWeb E.H.R. Image Viewer will enable healthcare facilities to purchase and use information systems from different vendors, rather than being forced into using a single IS platform.
