Healthcare information systems provider Cerner of Kansas City, MO, reported strong revenues and cash flow for its fiscal 2005 second quarter (end-July 2).
For the period, the company posted total revenues of $277.8 million, a robust 22% upswing compared with the $228.4 million booked in the same period the year before.
Cerner's net earnings for the quarter were $19.8 million, a strong increase from the $14.3 million in net earnings in the second quarter of 2004.
The company expects third-quarter 2005 revenues of approximately $285 million to $290 million, a 20% increase from third-quarter 2004 revenues. Cerner said it expects new business bookings in the third quarter to be between $245 million and $260 million.
