Medical Records Institute (MRI) of Boston has launched the online Health IT IQ test, designed to test IT vendors' knowledge about the complex world of electronic health records and health information technology solutions.
MRI's chief executive officer, C. Peter Waegmann, called the test a fun way for health IT vendors to check their knowledge and challenge their peers. A similar test for healthcare practitioners will be released in the fall, he said.
The 17 multiple-choice questions, most derived from MRI's 7th annual EHR Survey of Trends and Usage, take only a few minutes to answer, according to MRI.
Potential test takers are alerted to the fact that they will be invited to attend the MRI-sponsored Health IT Trends and Marketing Conference being held in Boston August 22-24 -- as either a presenter or an attendee, depending on whether the final test score was high or low. The IQ test is available at medrecinst.com.
