McKesson hits milestone

Healthcare informatics firm McKesson said that its Horizon Physician Portal is logging more than 2 million physician visits per month.

More than 75,000 physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, as well as hospital, office, and IT administrative staff at more than 500 healthcare organizations in the U.S. Canada, France, and the Netherlands are using the portal, according to the Atlanta-based firm.

Users include Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL; St. Luke's Episcopal Health System in Houston; and Bronson Healthcare Group in Kalamazoo, MI.
