Medical information technology software developer Merge Healthcare has released the latest version of its eFilm Workstation application, as well as plug-in Advanced Visualization and Clinical Application software modules.
The new iteration includes features such as enhanced thumbnail views and multiplanar reformatting (MPR), spine labeling, splitting image series, and improved support for CD and DVD burning, according to the Milwaukee-based vendor.
In addition, the firm has integrated advanced visualization capabilities from AccuImage, which was acquired by Merge earlier this year. The optional software modules provide clinicians with postprocessing tools and diagnostic applications, such as 3D/4D, virtual colonoscopy, calcium scoring, lung-nodule detection, and image stitching, the company said.
