Medical transcription provider CyMed of Richmond, VA, entered the transcription technology market today with the introduction of ChartVox, a dictation capture and voice file management system.
The product, available now, is offered in sizes ranging from 8- to 48-port configurations, the company said.
In other news, the firm said it is participating in the sponsorship of a university course on medical transcription speech recognition (SR) editing. The course, offered at the John Tyler Community College in Richmond, is a joint development between CyMed and OAK Horizons, a transcriptionist training course developer. CyMed has agreed to hire each graduating student for the first three years of the program, according to the firm.
