Informatics and advanced visualization software developer Merge Healthcare reported record third-quarter revenues for the company's fiscal 2005 (end-September 30), the first full quarter of sales following the company's acquisition of Cedara Software.
Milwaukee-based Merge said net sales for the quarter were $32.7 million, compared with net sales of $9.3 million in the same quarter last year. In addition, the firm posted net profits of $8.1 million for the second quarter, a solid gain compared with a net profit of $2.3 million in the same period last year.
As a result of its third-quarter gains, the company is updating its revenue guidance for 2005 to be in the range of $95 million to $98 million for the fiscal year, up from the $90 million to $95 million it forecast three months ago.
