California signs Pervasive for HIPAA compliance

The California Department of Health Services (CDHS) has incorporated Austin, TX-based Pervasive Software's Business Integrator product to achieve federal compliance for HIPAA transactions, according to the developer.

Pervasive's software provides a programmatic data transformation application to ensure HIPAA compliance. For the California project, it will handle approximately 10 million transactions per month and is embedded within the medical benefits programs that run on the state's mainframe computer, the company said.
