McKesson Provider Technologies will display its Horizon Radiology Manager RIS, as well as its Horizon Radiology integrated RIS/PACS products, at the 2006 RSNA conference.
The firm has integrated its RIS with its Pathways Healthcare Scheduling Enterprise software so that Pathways users can now provide unidirectional scheduling across an enterprise. New multifacility patient ID storage reconciles the problem of multiple patient identifiers across the organization, according to McKesson. In addition, for patients who are scheduled for studies but have not yet been registered into the system, a "hold order logic" tool holds orders for patients with temporary identifiers until they are registered.
The Horizon Radiology Manager RIS and RIS/PACS products are available now, and targeted toward hospital radiology departments, integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or other multiple-facility enterprises, and standalone imaging centers, the Richmond, British Columbia-based company said.
In related news, look for the company to offer a wide range of practice management services, hospital and managed-care contract negotiation, and business intelligence and reporting offerings in 2007 through its recently announced acquisition plans for Per-SE Technologies of Alpharetta, GA.
