MedQuist

Speech recognition provider and information management developer MedQuist will showcase its SpeechQ for Radiology front-end speech recognition application and its DocQment Ovation transcription management system in its RSNA booth.

SpeechQ for Radiology is speech recognition and document creation software that allows radiologists to dictate, review, and e-sign radiology reports in a single session, or send reports to a medical editor. The system is powered by an embedded SpeechMagic engine from Philips Speech Processing of Vienna, Austria, and built on a Microsoft .NET platform. The application is compatible with most PACS and RIS products, and is available now in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Australia, the Mount Laurel, NJ-based MedQuist said.

The firm will also highlight its DocQment Ovation system, which provides an enterprise view that allows transcription supervisors to manage users, documents, and voice files from a single dashboard instead of using multiple systems. The product can be run from any workstation with Internet access, and enables administrators to track work and share resources to get the right document to the right transcriptionist at the right time, according to MedQuist.

DocQment Ovation is targeted toward hospital-level facilities and is available now in the U.S., the company said.
