Radiology reporting developer StructuRad will demonstrate the capabilities of a collection of tools, including StudyManager, ReportNow 5.2, and its Office-of-One product, at this year's RSNA show.
The latest iteration of StudyManager provides all users with visibility of the reporting process, from requisition entry to finished report. The system can work with or without a RIS or PACS, and can be configured to satisfy any user-defined workflow process, including those in use at complex multiorganization facilities, according to the Encino, CA-based StructuRad.
Multiple distribution options include fax and e-mail notification, and immediate access to reports is provided for authorized users. An optional "referring physicians connect" feature is a Web portal for report viewing on the Internet, the company said.
StudyManager is scalable, from a solo practitioner to a large network of radiologists, the company said. It is available now worldwide, with a typical five-user-plus-server configuration priced at $8,000. The package includes the first year of StudyManager in a software-only licensing configuration.
StudyManager supports custom workflow to reduce manual tasks, and final, approved reports can be created without transcription using the developer's ReportNow 5.2 macros and speech recognition.
The company's ReportNow client includes SpeechStudio speech recognition and a Macro Dashboard for faster macro reporting, StructuRad said. It is designed for all radiology reporting requirements, and is scalable for small to large organization deployments. For facilities utilizing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 from Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, the company said it can provide interoperability with that software as an option for its system.
ReportNow 5.2 is available now worldwide and is priced at $1,895 per client, with a typical five-radiologist practice investing $13,500 for a one-year license to ReportNow server software, StructuRad said.
The Office-of-One configuration combines the reporting features of ReportNow with StudyManager for workflow and report management. It addresses the requirements for imaging operations with only one radiologist and a small support staff, and provides requisition input, consolidated worklist, and report creation and management.
StructuRad said pricing for Office-of-One starts at $2,995 for a single-user configuration of one radiologist, and features e-signature approval and automated distribution.
The firm has also created a package of its applications designed for the needs of nighthawk, dayhawk, and teleradiology groups. StructuRad said its teleradiology offerings support online data entry of client-hospital requisitioning information, integration with RIS and PACS software, a consolidated worklist, and Web access for referring physicians. The company can optionally provide HL7 or custom interfaces to capture requisition information from client sources. Distribution can be automated and final report output can be customized to individual users.
The teleradiology package is available now worldwide, and pricing for a typical four-radiologist teleradiology group in one location starts at $19,000 for a software-only first-year license, the company said.
