(Booth 8731) Miami-based RIS provider RIS Concepts will add a RadSpeak feature to its radiology information system product line that utilizes templates and macros to streamline Web-based dictation and enable radiologists to better use speech recognition technology.
RadSpeak is designed to provider users with a range of exam report templates from which to choose. Using verbal commands, a radiologist selects standard paragraphs from the template to include in a report, make necessary changes, and call for a digital signature. He or she also can create an unlimited number of custom voice-controlled templates.
Through RadSpeak, a radiologist whose speaking voice may not be compatible with speech recognition software can use RIS Concepts' voice-controlled templates to help reduce a potentially lengthy dictation process.
