RCI-RIS now sports the ability to post patient payments directly to the RIS, fully integrating the information into the billing application not only as a convenience but also as an error-reduction feature, according to the company. The new feature is designed to eliminate the need for front office personnel who accept payment to open the billing application directly, and it restricts the number of radiology personnel who routinely access financial applications. The new billing features enable radiologists to collect information easily on patient insurance and other patient data and bill for all exams, RIS Concepts noted.
The new RAD-RIS creates an integrated worklist that combines studies across multiple enterprises and locations while simultaneously interfacing PACS operations in use at different hospitals and clinics.
