Healthcare software developer Allocade of Menlo Park, CA, has landed $5 million in venture capital financing.
Allocade will use the investment by VantagePoint Venture Partners to meet increased demand for its On-Cue workflow software package, according to the firm.
On-Cue optimizes hospital patient flow for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients by using technology developed to manage workflow on the Hubble Space Telescope. It uses information already available in hospital information systems, radiology information systems, and electronic medical record systems, Allocade said.
