GE offers meaningful use IT software

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has made available its meaningful-use-ready software release for Centricity Enterprise.

Centricity Enterprise 6.9 is designed to support organizations that require integrated inpatient and ambulatory software on a single platform to demonstrate inpatient and ambulatory meaningful use, to enable healthcare providers to quality for stimulus funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

The release includes upgrades to computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and order workflow, configurable patient and assignment views, ePrescribing, eligibility/formulary checking, and new applications such as a registries module to support quality measures and automated building of discharge instructions.
