Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, has extended a licensing agreement with Chicago-based Winscribe, a global provider of business process and digital dictation technology.
By embedding speech recognition into Winscribe's software-based digital dictation, transcription management, and workflow routing technology, dictations from physicians and other healthcare providers can be automatically transcribed into text rather than given to a secretary for manual transcription.
