Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys of Atlanta will supply its Sunrise Enterprise suite of integrated clinical products to South Nassau Communities Hospital.
The 435-bed teaching hospital located in Oceanside, NY, will use the company's computerized physician order-entry (CPOE) application and other technology to create an electronic system throughout its departments to enhance patient safety, efficiency, and outcomes.
The initiative also will support the facility's goal to meet meaningful use requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 to qualify for stimulus funds.
