GE Healthcare said that its Centricity Advance software was certified as a complete electronic health record by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).
The certification of version 10.1 of Centricity Advance was in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), according to GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. The 2011/2012 criteria support the stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Delivered as a software-as-a-service (SAAS), Centricity Advance is an integrated electronic medical record, practice management, and patient self-service portal package, GE said.
