MedInformatix nets NJ install

MedInformatix of Los Angeles has installed its RIS at University Radiology Group, a provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in New Jersey.

University Radiology uses the MedInformatix RIS for scheduling, patient exam tracking, billing, and test results communication. The system controls the practice's patient scheduling, internal and third-party billing, and electronic medical records (EMRs) capturing, storage, and communication. It also enables the group to perform back office functions with fewer people, according to MedInformatix.

University Radiology consists of 80 board-certified radiologists who annually perform more than 900,000 in-person and teleradiology exams at its eight facilities, five hospital affiliates, and other imaging centers.
