Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare has released a new version of its Merge Financials revenue cycle management software.
Merge Financials 6.1 has been updated to include capabilities to prepare physician practices for upcoming changes in reimbursement. The new version now facilitates the transition of electronic data exchange to the new ANSI 5010 format, accommodates new Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) procedures and reporting, and begins the planning process for the upcoming International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) requirements.
The new version also allows for full conversion of patient accounts and accounts receivable data from legacy billing solutions, the company said. It also has a new anesthesia module for charge handling and claim filing for both the anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetists.
