GE Healthcare and Thomson Reuters have developed a clinical research data repository to aid in evidence-based research.
When needed to answer appropriate population-based health economics and outcomes research questions, healthcare analytics teams at GE and Thomson Reuters can now combine commonly used outcomes research data from the Thomson Reuters MarketScan research databases with deidentified electronic medical records data, according to the firms. This will allow researchers and physicians to gain new evidence-based insights into treatment protocols, the companies said.
