Nuance releases new eScription version

Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications has rolled out the latest version of its eScription computer-aided medical transcription platform.

eScription now includes a streamlined document creation and editing process, according to the firm. New administration tools and capabilities allow users to prioritize, assign, and adjust the clinical document queue, Nuance said. Medical transcriptionists can also now interact with each other, administrators, and designated quality assurance individuals.

Nuance has also incorporated advanced quality assurance workflow enhancements, enabling quality assurance staff to review medical transcriptionists' edited documents and provide ongoing and specific feedback on performance, according to the vendor.

In other Nuance news, the firm said it has recently added the following sites to its customer list: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Lahey Clinic; Memorial Health System; Mount Sinai Medical Center; Ochsner Health System; Premier Health Partners; Scott & White Healthcare; University of California, San Francisco Medical Center; University of Rochester Medical Center; and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
