Following up on its purchase of speech recognition firm M*Modal in July, MedQuist Holdings has now also acquired software developer Poiesis Informatics.
The parent of speech recognition and transcription technology developer MedQuist said the combination of Poiesis and M*Modal technologies will build upon MedQuist's experience in the imaging market and offer analytics and business intelligence capabilities to radiology practices, according to the firm.
Founded in 2007, Poiesis' Workflow Orchestration Suite (WOS) includes the Catalyst enterprise unified worklist tool, Fluency clinical documentation package that leverages M*Modal's Speech Understanding technology, and Scout business analytics tool.
