Philips Speech Processing has signed an agreement with speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications to better integrate its dictation workflow software with Nuance's voice recognition technology.
Philips' SpeechExec dictation workflow package now fully supports Nuance Dragon Medical voice recognition, according to Philips Speech.
The announcement follows an extension of the long-time cooperation between the two companies, which has until now focused on the use of Philips' dictation hardware, such as SpeechMike, with Nuance's voice recognition software for healthcare, Philips Speech said.
