Hitachi Europe's identity management group has entered into a strategic partnership with biometric software firm M2SYS Technology, appointing the Atlanta-based company as its primary value-added reseller in North America for the H1 biometric finger-vein scanner.
The finger-vein scanner uses near-infrared light to detect and capture the vein pattern inside a finger, the firms said. The system will be marketed in North America for secure identification systems for patients and healthcare providers.
