The U.S. Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is seeking nominations for individuals to join its health IT standards and policy committees.
Nominees for the HIT Standards Committee should have experience promoting the meaningful use of health information technology. They should be knowledgeable in areas such as small innovative healthcare providers, providers participating in payment reform initiatives, accountable care organizations, pharmacists, behavioral health professionals, home healthcare, purchaser or employer representatives, patient safety, health IT security, big data, consumer e-health, personal health records, and mobile health applications.
Nominees for the HIT Policy Committee should have experience promoting the meaningful use of health information technology and be knowledgeable in privacy and security issues related to health information.
The deadline to submit nominations is June 11. Details will be published in the Federal Register on June 1.
