Speech recognition and transcription technology developer M*Modal has unveiled its Catalyst family of cloud-based applications.
Built on the company's cloud-based Speech Understanding platform, the Catalyst family is designed to allow hospitals, physician practices, and managed service organizations to extract actionable information from both unstructured and structured medical documentation, M*Modal said. Catalyst for Quality and Catalyst for Radiology are the first two applications in the Catalyst suite.
Catalyst for Quality can help healthcare executives, administrators, and physicians improve documentation quality and work toward meaningful use compliance, while Catalyst for Radiology enables radiology organizations or departments to identify clinical information within radiology documents to improve compliance and quality, according to the vendor.
More Catalyst applications are expected in the coming months.
