Healthcare information systems firm McKesson announced the release of Cardiology 13.0, the newest version of its cardiovascular information system.
Cardiology 13.0 offers a single-database system for cardiac and peripheral catheterization, hemodynamics monitoring, electrophysiology, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, nuclear cardiology, and electrocardiogram/stress/Holter management.
Data entered at any point of care, from preprocedure and intraprocedure information to physician reporting to the American College of Cardiology's National Cardiac Data Registry, transfers automatically into the electronic health record (EHR) of a patient, the company said.
In addition to newly added electrophysiology and stress/Holter management capabilities, the 13.0 release includes a new inventory management module. It is designed to provide documentation, billing, and management for inventory in the cardiovascular department of a hospital and is tightly integrated with McKesson's Point of Use Supply software.
