Agfa HealthCare has inked a global agreement to incorporate software from Real Time Medical into new versions of its Impax Enterprise Productivity Suite (EPS) workflow software.
The alliance will help hospitals manage radiology resources while improving clinical productivity, helping to balance radiologists' workloads automatically, the companies said. Specifically, Real Time Medical will provide its context-aware workflow management functionality, algorithms, and methodologies to power Impax EPS.
The new functionality will support the needs of collaborating or consolidated hospitals and imaging networks, improving radiology productivity and diagnostic quality by managing workflow across an array of disparate systems and networks. Diagnostic reading and reporting workloads will be streamlined within organizations as well as across distributed PACS environments, Agfa and Real Time Medical said.
