Electronic health record firm eHealth Technologies has reached an agreement with RSNA that will increase standards-based interoperability between image sharing providers in New York state.
As part of the agreement, the firm will provide 48 participating sites access to the RSNA Image Share network, a platform that provides patients with access to their medical imaging information through image-enabled personal health record accounts.
The network will also allow imaging sites to share data throughout New York. The exchange of information is based on the Cross-enterprise Document Sharing (XDS) profile published by the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative and implemented in health information exchanges around the world, eHealth said.
