Healthcare IT firm MedInformatix highlighted new enhancements and functionality for version 7.6 of its RIS at this week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The vendor said it has upgraded administrative, billing, and scheduling features, including claims processing times and remittance processing functionality. The new version also includes expanded profile settings, appointment alerts, and new calendar and confirmation controls.
Appointment Request View (ARV) and Facility Access Control (FAC) add new layers of enterprise usability for radiology clients, MedInformatix said. The ARV functionality allows clients to manage all incoming orders and schedules from a single screen to reduce administrative time and system redundancies, while the revised FAC function allows radiology sites to restrict access to patient screens by site and by user.
In other MedInformatix news, the company has tapped Rick Arnold to serve as president of its Radiology Client Advisory board for 2015. Arnold is senior director of information technology at Fairfax Radiological Consultants.
