Healthcare IT firm MedInformatix has launched its upgraded RIS, version 7.6, at RSNA 2015.
The upgrade includes new features and enhancements designed to help customers improve practice workflow and physician-patient engagement.
The latest version features the following:
- A newly designed reading view for radiologists working in a RIS-driven workflow
- A secure worklist, with tight integration to PowerScribe and PACS, allows radiologists and clinical support staff to turn around studies
- An enhanced orders view provides a smoother workflow, along with due date changes, department changes, and internal status upgrades
- An upgraded appointment request view where staff can add and/or edit new requests, attach documents for import into the document repository, and transfer request information to authorizations and claims
- An expanded appointment list view where staff can view one or more books of any combination of appointment groups, facilities, and books, including visual and/or audio notification when a patient is ready to be "roomed" in the books
- A final round of ICD-10 improvements focused on dual coding
