Spreemo, a cloud-based marketplace specializing in radiology services, has named a former Philips Healthcare executive as its vice president of healthcare analytics.
Daniel Elgort, PhD, joins the Spreemo team after most recently serving as director and global lead of healthcare big-data analytics research at Philips. In his new role, Elgort will oversee the continued expansion of Spreemo's data analytics initiatives in radiology, as well as other medical disciplines.
Elgort is the primary author of more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference abstracts. He holds more than 40 pending or granted patents and was the recipient of phase I and II Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) grants.
