NTT Data Services (formerly Dell Services) said it has invested in an expansion of its enterprise imaging offerings with business intelligence and analytics tools aimed at improving patient care and workflow efficiency.
Unified Clinical Archive (UCA), the firm's vendor-neutral archive, now has expanded automated imaging analytics to include incidental findings that could signal patient risk and might otherwise go unreported, the company said. Incidental findings are included in a comprehensive data dashboard that displays business insights highlighting care delivery and monitoring gaps. By providing a complete imaging view, UCA increases imaging's effect on patient outcomes at a lower cost.
The improvement has enhanced the clinical value that comes from an integrated management strategy for vendor-neutral archiving and electronic medical records, and the improved insight leads to better decision-making, NTT said.
The latest release, UCA version 9.5, offers enhancements that improve data management, interoperability, and reporting, NTT said. These include Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) interoperability and updates to data workflow access and integration with HL7 event monitoring. UCA version 9.5 also integrates tools that automate image analysis for specific anatomy, such as liver, bone, vascular, and lungs, and includes new algorithms for brain imaging, according to the company.
