GE Healthcare Partners said it will work with Florida Hospital to build a command center to guide clinical operations at its nine locations in central Florida.
The command center will use predictive analytics to orchestrate patient care at Florida Hospital campuses in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties, according to the vendor. The center's Wall of Analytics will leverage existing IT systems and apply artificial intelligence algorithms to assist staff in prioritizing patient-care activities and discharges, making short-term staffing decisions, and mitigating potential bottlenecks before they occur, GE said.
The center, which will be built in a centralized location, is expected to open in 2019.
