Radiology informatics firm MedQ and healthcare IT company Availity are teaming up to provide Availity's Patient Access and AuthPal services through the Q/ris 3000 software.
With this integration, MedQ's Q/ris 3000 will be able to process physician orders, obtain prior authorizations, and verify insurance for all diagnostic imaging exams, according to the vendors. In addition, the integrated app on Q/ris 3000 will calculate how much patients will owe for the study, ensuring they are aware of their financial obligations before arriving to receive the procedure, the companies said.
