Canadian PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems is acquiring Seattle software developer Clario Medical Imaging in a bid to enhance its enterprise imaging offerings with highly scalable cloud-based software.
Clario has developed vendor-neutral workflow management software, including worklist, portal, practice management tools and web-based sharing, designed to improve efficiency of radiology groups.
The deal will help with Intelerad's vision of helping health systems and radiology practices move away from legacy imaging IT systems toward modern, fully cloud-based solutions, according to the company.
Intelerad also sees Clario's base in Seattle as a big plus for strengthening its presence in the U.S. and deepening relationships with other cloud technology providers.
