Healthcare information systems vendor Change Healthcare announced at RSNA 2019 in Chicago that it has added four health systems as development partners for its cloud-native enterprise imaging network and is also offering no-fee access to its CareSelect Imaging Open Access system.
Bronson Healthcare, Community Health Systems Professional Services, Montefiore Nyack Hospital, University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health, and UW Health, Madison Wisconsin will join other healthcare providers in using the enterprise imaging network hosted by Change Healthcare on the Google Cloud Platform.
These four providers manage 124 hospitals that produce a yearly imaging volume of more than 5.6 million studies. Change Healthcare will offer real-world feedback as the platform is implemented for these providers.
The company also announced that it is now providing no-fee access to its CareSelect Imaging Open Access, an interactive, web-based clinical decision-support system. Customers using CareSelect Imaging with electronic health record systems by Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and others can enable referring providers to use the clinical decision-support portal to ensure compliance with the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA), effective January 1, 2020.
