PACS vendor DR Systems said it posted revenues of $21 million in the first half of 2002, up 168% compared with the $7.8 million booked in the first half of 2001. For the period (end-June), the San Diego-based company said it had a profit of $7.3 million, compared with a profit of $2.3 million in the same period last year.
The privately held firm also said it has achieved 30 consecutive quarters of profitability, dating back to the first quarter of 1995. New DR Systems customers in 2002 include:
- ProScan Imaging in Cincinnati, OH.
- George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
- Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
- Pondera Medical Center in Conrad, MT.
- Northern Rockies Medical Center in Cutbank, MT.
- Leesburg Regional Medical Center, in Leesburg, FL.
- The Villages Hospital, in The Villages, FL.
- Kern Radiology of Bakersfield, CA.
