Display manufacturer Totoku Electric said it will introduce next month its ME551i2 5-megapixel (MP) monochrome LCD display for digital mammography.
ME511L is a 21.3-inch DICOM-calibrated diagnostic display with an 11.9-bit grayscale palette, brightness of 750 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), and 5-MP resolution. The monitor is capable of simultaneously displaying 2,048 shades of gray, according to the Tokyo-based developer.
The display is also equipped with a built-in sensor that monitors and stabilizes luminance. A software option is available that evaluates DICOM Grayscale Standard Display Function (GSDF) on the basis of data from the sensor, Totoku said.
