Nasdaq will continue to list Merge shares

Merge Technologies will continue to have its common stock listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange, at least until the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel reviews and makes a ruling on the Milwaukee company's status.

Merge has requested that the panel extend the company's July 7 deadline to file its annual report for 2005, all other required restatements, and results for the first quarter of 2006. Merge could not say whether Nasdaq would grant the extension or, if it does, how long the extension will be.

The company currently expects to submit its financial reports by the end of the third quarter of this year.
