Matrox shipping RoHS boards

Medical display controller board developer Matrox Graphics reported that four of its display controller board series are compliant with the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment.

The Dorval, Quebec-based firm said that its MED, RAD, TheatreVUE, and AuroraVX series of boards are RoHS-compliant.

The RoHS directive will restrict placement on the EU market of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) as of this month, according to Matrox.
