Image and information management firm Amicas reported a slight decline in revenues for the company's second quarter (end-June 30), but the Boston company swung into the black compared to the same period last year.
For the period, Amicas posted sales of $12.2 million, down 5% compared with sales of $12.8 million in the corresponding quarter of 2005. The company posted net income from continuing operations of $319,000, compared to a net loss from continuing operations of $31,000 in the second quarter of 2005.
Amicas said it forecast full-year 2006 revenues to be $53 million, down from the firm's previous guidance of between $56 million to $61 million. The company expects net income to be break-even for the year.
