PACS vendor Amicas has released version 4.2 of its Vision Series PACS network.
Version 4.2 includes nearly 200 new feature requests and enhancements, according to the Boston-based vendor. Amicas said it has also improved its RealTime Worklist feature, adding enhancements designed to provide effective management of communication at the point of care.
For example, a new bidirectional interface capability with HIS/RIS systems has been incorporated, according to the firm. Users can also display and prioritize exams based upon multiple levels of clinical severity.
Amicas has also added IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager, which offers improved archiving and disaster recovery capabilities, the firm said. The vendor first deployed the new release at Newman Regional Hospital in Emporia, KS.
