TDK will be emphasizing its medical-grade DVD and CD line, available in various formats.
In DVD offerings, TDK will be presenting its DVD+R47M, DVD-R47M, and DVD-RAM94M media. DVD+R47M is a medical-grade DVD+R with 4.7 GB of storage capacity and 8x write-once capability, according to the Mt. Prospect, IL-based firm. It also employs TDK's Armor Plated technology to help protect against dust and scratches.
DVD-R47M is a medical-grade DVD-R that features TDK's Armor Plated technology and a printable thermal and branded surface, TDK said. It's available in a jewel case or spindle.
DVD-RAM94M is a medical-grade DVD-RAM with 9.4 GB of storage capacity, and is rewriteable and dual-sided. It's a type IV cartridge and comes with a hard-coat cake box, TDK said.
In CD-R developments, TDK will showcase its CD-R74MCAD, CD-R74MJB, and CD-R80MPTCB media. CD-R74MCAD is a medical-grade CD-R74 with 650 MB of capacity, and is packaged in TDK's MedCaddy to prevent mishandling errors, according to the firm.
CD-R74MJB is also a medical-grade CD-R74 with 650 MB of capacity, and is suitable for 2x-12x drives, TDK said. It comes in a jewel case with spine labels and instructions.
CD-R80MPTCB is a medical-grade CD-R80 with 700 MB of capacity. It is thermal-printable and is designed for high-speed drives, TDK said.
