PowerFile will unveil its Active Archive Appliance (A3), which employs write once, read many (WORM) media.
A3 includes all required hardware and software, and is designed to handle fixed content data such as medical images, according to the Santa Clara, CA-based firm. The online archive allows infrequently accessed files stored on WORM media to be accessed in seconds, PowerFile said.
PowerFile's A3 starter kit provides 3.4 TB of usable archive capacity at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $15,900, with 1.7 TB expansion kits available at an MSRP of $5,900, according to the firm.
