(Booth 2812) American Medical Sales (AMS) will release its Catella MWL-B modality worklist broker this year.
Catella MWL-B aims to bridge the gap between practice management/electronic medical record/RIS applications and imaging modalities, according to the Hawthorne, CA-based vendor. The broker automates the connection between an HL7 database and a DICOM modality, AMS said.
For customers without an HL7 database or those who have not yet automated their practice management operations, AMS offers a "Creator" program. This system can develop a patient and institutional database that can be pooled by DICOM modalities, and it also includes a basic scheduling system, according to the vendor.
