Accusoft launches new barcode scanner for Android

Image compression software developer Accusoft has released the Accusoft Barcode Scanner app for Android.

The app features the barcode engine of the Barcode Xpress Mobile software development kit (SDK) with barcode reader support for more than 30 barcodes, including DataMatrix and PDF417, according to the vendor. The Accusoft Barcode Scanner app also can read 1D and 2D barcodes, including DataMatrix, UPC, and EAN, Accusoft said.

The company said it has also updated its Barcode Xpress Mobile SDK for iOS to include the extended library of barcode support. It's now available for download.
