DR Systems' image sharing venture eMix has released version 1.3 of its cloud-based medical information exchange service.
Version 1.3 features a zero-footprint, browser-based clinical viewer based on Adobe Flash to provide users with access to images via a "View Now" button. A set of image viewing tools is included in the viewer, eMix said.
Other 1.3 features include enhanced password security rules, exam storage capability throughout a local network, and more control over access, according to the vendor. eMix said it has also incorporated several workflow enhancements, including an improved address book format and the ability to edit study descriptions.
